Fête de la Musique at Kulturhafen
The “Fête de la Musique” music festival, first held on June 21, 1982, in Paris, France, is a non-commercial event that has grown steadily since its inception and has now expanded internationally.
In Rostock, too, the Fête de la Musique is held every year right at the start of summer on June 21. All musicians and DJs perform for free on stages provided by local businesses and venues. The Fête de la Musique is free for all visitors and takes place at a wide variety of venues throughout the city. In Rostock, the event is organized by the nonprofit association “Fete Rostock e.V.,” whose members volunteer their time to plan and execute the festival.
The Fête de la Musique is for everyone and comes to life through the contributions of each individual. Thanks to the musical diversity, there’s sure to be something for everyone. Once again this year, we cordially invite everyone to join us in musically welcoming the start of summer on June 21 on the streets of Rostock.
