The talented students in the vocal class of Kammersänger Prof. Roland Schubert (Leipzig University of Music and Theater) invite you to a two-part concert experience: The first part of the program is dedicated to grand emotions, featuring dazzling excerpts from opera and operetta. In the second part, the young talents will enchant the audience with festive Christmas music—and will also perform traditional songs from their respective home countries.
International Talent on Stage
This year’s ensemble features singers from Australia, the U.S., France, Iceland, Sweden, the U.K., Belgium, Spain, and Germany. Prof. Schubert’s voice class has long been an established fixture in the cultural and concert life of the Baltic Sea coast. An annual concert tour takes these up-and-coming talents to special venues such as Altenkirchen/Rügen, Greifswald, Stralsund, Bothmer Castle, Binz, and Ralswiek Castle. A glance at the graduates of recent years proves that you are hearing the stars of tomorrow here: Many former students of this class are now prize winners at international competitions and perform at Europe’s major opera houses.
