The Roaring Twenties with Kästner, Weill, Brecht & Co.
Cigarette smoke in the semi-darkness, disreputable bars of the 1920s: Mechthild Großmann only has to raise her voice and we are there. At her side is pianist Gottlieb Wallisch, a specialist in the light music of the early 20th century, who not only has his Kurt Weill in his little finger, but also forgotten musical treasures of the time.
Texts by ELSE LASKER-SCHÜLER, KURT TUCHOLSKY, BERTOLT BRECHT, ERICH KÄSTNER and others as well as foxtrots, tangos, bostons and other dances by KURT WEILL, MISCHA SPOLIANSKY, WILHELM GROSZ and others.
