To the east, Mont Blanc towers over the Alps; to the south, the Pic du Midi dominates the Pyrenees. Two mountain ranges—two faces of France. Yet one thing unites them: glaciers are retreating, and the snow line is rising. Ibex climb unfazed over snow-free rocks. Alpine choughs are drawn to people, from whom they love to steal food. The film shows how animals in high-altitude regions are adapting—or disappearing.
