A bird warden spends seven months alone on the dune island of Scharhörn. His duties are simple: observe birds and collect flotsam. The film captures the essence of this living landscape through its imagery as well as through the evocative soundtrack of wind, rain, and birdsong. A quiet tale of affection for the landscape and the foreboding that much of it will disappear.
