Public Presentation of Fellow Projects by the Fellows of the 2026–27 Academic Year
From artificial muscles to Hannah Arendt: Get to know the eleven new fellows at the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg and their research!
The projects of this year’s cohort range from biomechanics and infectious disease research to literature, history, and theology, as well as issues of health inequality. Three projects are part of this year’s focus area, “Interdisciplinary Research on the Baltic Sea Region—from Culture to Ecology”: They examine the transformation of outpatient healthcare in the GDR after 1990, theological networks between Germany and Scandinavia, and socioeconomic disparities in oral health.
At Fellow Day, all eleven visiting researchers will present their projects in brief talks. This provides an evening-long glimpse into the full range of research being conducted at the Wissenschaftskolleg during the 2026–27 academic year. Afterward, there will be an opportunity to engage in discussion with the fellows.
Moderator: Professor Dr. Thomas Klinger
