A guided tour led by the museum's education staff, designed especially for younger visitors.
SCHABBELL aims to be a museum for everyone. That’s why children and teens were taken into consideration right from the start when designing the permanent exhibition. Various hands-on stations and special objects to touch and try out invite visitors to get actively involved. As an out-of-school learning venue, the SCHABBELL offers younger visitors in particular the opportunity to discover Wismar’s city history for themselves and engage with historical events in an interactive way, rather than simply having knowledge imparted to them in a traditional lecture-style setting. On September 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., museum educator Alexander Holst will offer exclusive family tours designed with this in mind, which are sure to be a hit with younger visitors in particular.
The tour will last approximately 60 to 90 minutes. Afterward, the museum garden invites visitors to relax or play.
