Fall Break Project 2026 — Zero Waste – Reaction Chains Made of Paper
Our fall vacation workshop will be a recycling workshop. There’s a lot of paper and paper scraps in the various workshops at SPEICHER. We’ll use these “paper scraps” to create new works of art while learning various collage techniques from Plamena.
On Monday, we’ll start by gathering materials and exploring the building. We’ll also get to know the press upstairs on the second floor, which we can use for printing. Each child will make their first collage. On Tuesday, we’ll look at everyone’s work and pick an idea to use for our next piece. Over the course of the weeks, this will lead to a chain of creations...
We’ll be working with paints, scissors, and machines. Please remember to bring: sturdy clothing, sturdy shoes, and hair ties for long hair.
