Release Tour for his 7th solo album *Innenwege 2026*
Falk Zenker, a guitarist, composer, and sound artist living near Weimar and in the Fichtelgebirge, was recently named one of “the country’s most creative nylon-string guitarists” by the trade magazine *Akustik Gitarre*. For three decades now, he has consistently delighted audiences and critics alike with his virtuoso guitar playing, which spans the medieval, classical, flamenco, modern world music, improvisation, and live-looped beats.
For example, Jazzpodium wrote about him: “He is a sound innovator and bridge-builder of a special kind, classically trained and blessed with the gift of repeatedly creating connections between spaces and times in a sensitive, stylish, and entirely unique way, as only he can —endearing, cosmopolitan, quintessentially Zenker, and very, very beautiful.” Currently, Zenker performs and improvises music from his latest album *Innenwege* as well as from his earlier solo albums *Estampie*, *Falkenflug*, *Gedankenreise*, and *Wellentanz*. Using sophisticated live looping, he occasionally multiplies his guitar playing into pulsating, orchestral soundscapes—a technique he has been celebrating on stage as the first German acoustic guitarist to do so since 1997.
