Women’s resistance to National Socialism was courageous, multifaceted, and fraught with risk—and yet it has been almost forgotten today. The exhibition shows that it did indeed exist.
Despite their different backgrounds, worldviews, and temperaments, these women resisted and stood up to the totalitarian system with their humanity—in the face of all dangers.
The women of the resistance from BACK THEN urge us not to look away, but to show moral courage and protect our democracy—HERE & NOW—more than ever.
The exhibition is on view through August 24, Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on the 1st floor of the Kulturkirche St. Jakobi, Jacobiturmstr. 28a.
