Christine Radecke shows painting and ceramic sculpture
After a cursory glance at some of her dance paintings, the question quickly arises: Matisse or?
No. Christine Radecke only noticed the proximity to Matisse herself once the pictures were finished. In the Red Pavilion, she is showing paintings and ceramic sculptures in strong, warm tones. Christine Radecke lives in the Uckermark and in Gragetopshof, south of Rostock on the edge of the idyllic Warnow Valley. Being in nature is hersource of strength, inspiration and inner peace. The theme of femininity reflects personal feelings. The creative connection between body, mind and emotion is reflected in form, color and materiality. Sensuality plays a central role and characterizes both the formal language and the atmosphere of her works.
The Kunstverein and the artist invite you to the exhibition opening on March 6 at 6 p.m. with a dance performance by/with Andrea Krüger-Bernstein (Rostock, dance improvisation/dance theater & performance, dance pedagogy, dance therapy, yoga). Admission free.
The Kunstverein would like to thank the Ministry of Culture MV, the district of Rostock and the town of Bad Doberan for their support.
