The Friends of the Cultural Forum opens exhibition by Gottreich Albrecht
On Saturday, December 6, at 5 p.m., the Friends of the Cultural Forum will ceremonially open this year's exhibition in the Kulturforum Schleswig-Holstein-Haus. Around 100 drawings and watercolors by the Schwerin architect Gottreich Albrecht, which were created on hikes in the Schwerin area, will be shown in the small gallery. The architect and town planner's precise eye is just as noticeable in the pictures as his practiced pencil strokes. Added to this is the desire to capture the motif and the pleasure of creative experimentation in representation. The character of the drawings, most of which are in color, arises from the interplay of subjective perception and artistic reproduction in the situation on site. The exhibition is logically entitled "Emotion and Abstraction".
Gottreich Albrecht (born 1949 in Wellerswalde/Oschatz) studied regional planning, urban development and architecture in Weimar. He has lived and worked in Schwerin since 1978. For him, free drawing is the freestyle alongside the exact building concepts within his professional activities.
Dr. Wolf Karge, Chairman of the Friends of the Schleswig-Holstein House Cultural Forum of the State capital Schwerin, and the director of the house, Dörte Ahrens, will speak at the opening.
Opening on December 6, 5 p.m., admission free.
Duration of the exhibition: December 7 to February 8, 2026
Admission: 2 Euro
