Urte Wiese grew up between the seas in Schleswig-Holstein and has lived and worked in Berlin for over 30 years.
Her painting is powerful and experimental and the pictures always tell a story, whereby she is particularly interested in the different expressive possibilities of the individual materials.
With this joy of experimentation, she creates watercolors and collages on paper, oil and acrylic paintings on canvas and multicolored linoleum prints.
Color is the spark that ignites Urte Wiese's work, expressing her mood and energy.
Urte Wiese likes to show the diversity of her paintings to her public at exhibition venues in everyday life, such as this monastery complex, a large 5-star hotel, a spa or restaurant, a doctor's surgery, various town halls, the district court and the criminal court in Berlin.
The resulting works are intended to delight and touch people, to be open to interpretation and conversation, and to accompany us in our everyday lives.
The exhibition can be viewed during the opening hours of the art museum.
