Daniela F. Lüers: "The Garden by the Sea" at Vietgest Castle Moderated talk with the artist Sunday, 2.11.25 at 3 pm

Daniela Friederike Lüers is an internationally award-winning and extremely versatile artist who has been based in Mecklenburg for over 20 years now. Here she is inspired by the unique nature, the landscape, the fauna and the special light that characterizes all her works.

Our region also offers something very special in terms of architecture: Daniela has immortalized a total of 32 of the most beautiful castles, manor houses and manor houses in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in large format in several series of pictures entitled "The Garden by the Sea".

In today's conversation, moderated by host Miriam Hager, she talks about her view of life, her work, lightness and light: "In my artworks, I realize lightness and liveliness by showing the light. I used to use strong contrasts & bright colors for this. Then I decided to paint the light itself. Loving expression, inner peace and offering the viewer space for the soul - that is important to me."

We are paying particular attention to the series "The Garden by the Sea", from which several works will be shown - including Vietgest Castle itself.

Further works from the series can be seen in the nearby Vogelsang manor house in Café V on Sunday afternoons.
