The artist Carmen Burre paints with cold coffee—using different consistencies and shades. Sometimes her paintings are watercolor-like, sometimes representational, and sometimes abstract, but the natural quality of the coffee is always present. And as is typical of artists, color sometimes comes into play, depending on her mood.
Starting on October 12, 2026, a selection of the artist’s works will be on display in an exhibition at the Waren (Müritz) City Library. The official opening of the exhibition will take place on Monday, October 12, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
A small preview of the coffee art can be found on the artist’s website at www.atelierburre.de.
In addition to the exhibition, two workshops with the artist will be held on-site: Monday, October 12, and Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day.
She “doesn’t care one bit” about the rules of painting. Anyone feeling inspired is warmly invited to participate.
Advance registration at the city library is requested.
