Saxophone & Piano
with Estel Vivó Casanovas (saxophone) and Daniel García (piano)
Works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Fritz Kreisler, Manuel de Falla, Darius Milhaud, Sergei Rachmaninov, and others.
Saxophonist Estel Vivó Casanovas' path led her from Barcelona to New York, where she studied at the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester and is now writing her doctoral thesis.
Late last fall, she won the renowned Young Concert Artists competition in New York, with which the Usedom Music Festival has been cooperating for over thirty years. For her prizewinners' concert, she has brought along arrangements of six Spanish folk songs by Manuel de Falla, who would have celebrated his 150th birthday this year.
