The Samtens Women's Choir presents its popular traditional concert in 2026 together with the Seniornechor Binz. From classical music to modern musicals.
Under the motto "Es tönen die Lieder", the well-known Samtenser Frauenchor presents its 2026 concert program together with the Seniorenchor Binz, with choral music from classical to pop.
Rügen's best-known, oldest and largest women's choir, the Samtens Women's Choir, has once again put together a varied program for its summer concerts. The choir has been training since January to ensure that it can once again offer a challenging and varied program this year. This year, the focus is on the music itself, which is sung about in many songs. For four hundred years, more and more composers have been enriching the German and international musical landscape with beautiful songs. Music can comfort, heal, promote intelligence, cheer us up, brighten our days, inspire us and even make us better people in an ethical sense. That is why we are grateful to music, and the motto of this year's concert is "Let the songs ring".
Right at the beginning of the concert, the touching song "Sieh auf deinem Weg" from the movie "Die Kinder des Monsieur Mathieu" shows how music helps us even in dark and difficult times. In addition, there are encouraging songs from all over the world that describe the beauty of nature, the vastness of the forests and seas. Some songs will be performed in new arrangements by choirmaster Alex Bergstedt, while others were composed by famous composers such as Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy.
