When the backyard turns into a giant screen and car headlights bring back nostalgic memories, it’s time once again to say, “Engines off, roll the film!”
As dusk slowly sets in this evening, it’s time for an absolute cult classic. At 7 p.m., the drive-in theater in the museum’s backyard kicks off with “Ghostbusters.” If you’re in the mood for ghost hunting, offbeat humor, and the unmistakable charm of the 1980s, you won’t want to miss this cinematic experience. The legendary Ghostbusters roam New York to keep supernatural phenomena in check—accompanied by iconic music, memorable characters, and a healthy dose of nostalgia. A timeless treat with the perfect blend of thrills and humor.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Visitors can enjoy the film in style right from their own vehicles or take a seat at the picnic areas in the museum’s backyard. Admission is 20 euros per vehicle, including two people. Each additional person pays 5 euros, as do guests at the picnic areas. The film is rated for ages 12 and up. The technical setup also ensures a true drive-in experience: Guests can conveniently receive the film’s audio via an FM frequency directly on their car radio or through FM-enabled smartphones and headphones. Alternatively, you can borrow one of our FM transponders. For this, you’ll need to bring wired headphones.
And of course, no successful movie experience is complete without the right refreshments. Snacks and cold drinks are available on-site.

The following Saturday, June 20, 2026, the Technische Landesmuseum MV invites you to the 11th Classic Car Rally at the phanTECHNIKUM. In addition to the traditional drive along the Mecklenburg coast, guests can look forward to historic vehicles, a colorful supporting program, and numerous activities centered on technology and mobility. In this way, the phanTECHNIKUM combines film culture, summer vibes, and a passion for cars into a special experience for the whole family—all in a single weekend.
