The cult show will make stops featuring many interesting celebrity guests from the worlds of soccer and entertainment. The regional connection plays a significant role on this tour through Germany’s soccer heartland—each city will feature a local hero. Sports anchor Thomas Helmer and expert Mario Basler are part of the event series’ core team. In the typical “Doppelpass” atmosphere—and of course, the famous “phrase pig” is part of the show too—Thomas Helmer, who currently hosts “Fantalk” on SPORT1, welcomes celebrity guests from the worlds of soccer and entertainment at each stop, including those with a relevant regional connection to the event location. The successful format, the “Dopa” tour of Germany—“Doppelpass on Tour”—continues: “Doppelpass on Tour,” the event series based on Germany’s No. 1 soccer talk show, has been organized since 2021 by Sport1 GmbH in cooperation with the event agency S-Promotion Event GmbH.
