The Friends of the Death March Memorial in the Below Forest will screen the film "Nicht verRecken" and will host a discussion with director Martin Gressmann afterward.
Seventy years after the death marches of the prisoners of the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, filmmaker Martin Gressmann set out to search for traces of history in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Along these historic routes, he conducted numerous interviews with the last survivors of the marches, as well as with people who witnessed the events at the time, thereby painting a unique picture of this region’s history.
Following the screening of the film, there will be an opportunity to speak with filmmaker Martin Gressmann. Admission is free, and registration is not required.
