At the “Light and Fire” event on Barth’s market square, the stage belongs to the children. The DONIKKL Crew will perform “Aram Sam Sam” and “The Singing Kangaroo” live, and everyone will join in the dancing. Admission is free.
At “Licht und Feuer” on Friday, October 16, 2026, the stage on Barth’s market square will belong to the children at 6:00 p.m. That’s when the DONIKKL Crew will perform their interactive children’s concert. This adds another highlight to “Licht und Feuer powered by Stadtwerke Barth.”
Two members of the crew will sing live, rap, and lead dances that everyone is welcome to join in on. The kids can jump around and sing along as loudly as they like. They may already know many of the songs from radio and TV, including the children’s song “So a schöner Tag,” “Aram Sam Sam,” “Hey, Pippi Longstocking,” “The Gorilla with Sunglasses,” and “Up up up” from Bibi and Tina.
In between, there are interactive stories to play along with. Go on a treasure hunt with pirates, catch the little hip-hop bunny who keeps slipping away, ride with the cowboy through the Wild West, fly around the big wide world with the little butterfly, and sing at the top of your lungs with a happy smile “Today is such a beautiful day!” The crew has been awarded the German Children’s Music Prize three times.
Parents and grandparents are, of course, welcome to sing along, too.
The “Light and Fire” evening continues around the concert. Glowing walk acts wander among the booths, and there are hands-on activities for kids to make crafts and glow-in-the-dark items. Local vendors will be selling food and drinks. And at 7:30 p.m., there will be a spectacular laser, fire, pyrotechnics, dance, and variety show.
To wrap up the evening, a lantern parade led by the Barther Spielmannszug will wind its way through the old town. Be sure to bring a lantern or a string of lights.
