We will be showing the documentary “Bike the Line” on Thursday, November 19, 2026, starting at 7:00 p.m.
Eighty years after the end of World War II, six fathers set out on their bicycles to bring history to life. From Wismar to Vienna, following the demarcation line established in May 1945, they encounter eyewitnesses, historians, and other people along the way. Their documentary film combines historical research with personal perspectives on the final days of the war. The goal is to actively shape the culture of remembrance and to bring people, memorial sites, and institutions together. Following the film, there will be an opportunity to engage in conversation with three protagonists and contributors, including Kuno Karls.
