Children, Market & Festival, Open-Air Festival

Up to 1,000 blue NIVEA beach balls are distributed to visitors per festival, transforming the beach into a blue sea for a short time.

Under the motto "We make you waterproof", DLRG and its partner NIVEA, teach children & parents safe behavior in the water & in the sun through play.

Big and small beach festival visitors romp on a large bouncy castle, puzzle the bathing rules, join in the puppet show, go on a journey to the sea with colorful fly towels, try out real rescue equipment, or assemble long pipe systems at the water construction site. Sun protection can also be experienced. With a UV camera, we make the invisible visible, or more precisely, the influence of sunlight on our skin. On a screen, participants then not only see their reflection in the mirror, but also existing sun damage on their skin, which is indicated by dark spots. Areas covered with sufficient sunscreen can be seen as a black protective film on the skin.
