Let's Hit the Water—for Explorers of All Ages: DLRG-NIVEA Beach Festival on the Island of Poel
“We’ll make you water-safe!”—under this motto, the DLRG and NIVEA invite you to a splashy afternoon at the beach full of fun, games, and safety on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Things are going to get lively—and educational!—at Beach Access T1 in Timmendorf-Strand.
The goal of the beach festival is to introduce parents and children to safe behavior around water, the sun, and the beach in a playful way. After all, it’s just more fun to splash around safely!
Visitors can look forward to a giant water playground for little water lovers; bounce houses where kids can really let off steam; and an exciting stage show where audience participation is strongly encouraged. There will also be rescue equipment to touch and try out—so everyone can become a little lifesaver.
And of course, a meet-and-greet with Nobbi, the popular DLRG mascot, is a must!
Admission is free, smiles included—and who knows, maybe a future lifeguard or two will be born here.
