Musical reading at the Old Waterworks in Neumühle featuring Dirk Zöllner & Co. A show combining words, images, and plenty of music.
Four decades, over a thousand concerts, countless bands—and no end in sight. Dirk Zöllner is one of the defining voices of German rock music: from Chicorée to opening for James Brown to the “Concert for Germany” two days after the fall of the Berlin Wall. The Zöllner project, solo albums, collaborations with the SWR Big Band, musicals, Heine projects—Zöllner has never let himself be pigeonholed.
At the reading concert, words, images, and music come together: Dirk Zöllner as musician and author, Jörg Menge as painter and graphic artist—and Brandy, aka Frank M. Brennecke, the Chicorée bassist with whom Zöllner celebrated a triumphant comeback in 2025. A show for everyone who knows Zöllner—and for everyone who should have known him long ago.
Afterwards: Chill by the fire pit.
