On Friday, June 26, 2026, the four-gate city of Neubrandenburg will once again be taking part in the nationwide Digital Day. Under the motto "Digitalization you can touch", Turmstraße will be transformed into an interactive experience mile from 09:00 to 16:00 for digital topics, modern technologies and innovative applications.
Together with regional companies, educational institutions, projects and partners, the four-gate city of Neubrandenburg wants to show how digitalization is already changing our everyday lives, administration, education and the world of work - in an understandable, practical way that can be experienced by all generations.
The city administration will present its digital offerings and online services, including online appointment allocation, digital building applications and other digital administrative services. Visitors will also gain an insight into the city's digital twin and modern tourist services such as the digital travel guide.
Numerous regional players and institutions will also be present:
IKT-Ost will be presenting innovative technologies and digitalization for visitors to try out. Smartest Coaching provides information on digital skills, future professions and modern working environments. The Volunteer Exchange will showcase digital opportunities in volunteering and social engagement.
Data Experts GmbH will present an individually developed game related to the four-gate city of Neubrandenburg and provide insights into creative digital applications. The Digital Innovation Center (DIZ) will provide information about digital developments and projects in the region. Neubrandenburg's municipal utilities will also be taking part with offers and information about digital infrastructure and modern supply solutions.
SonoBeacon will also be offering exciting insights into smart technologies with the topic of visitor flow measurement and digital analysis options in public spaces. Grundschule Süd will be presenting its robotics project and showing how children are introduced to technology and digital education at an early age.
The Silversurfers will also be on site to help older visitors in particular get started with digital topics. They provide practical tips for everyday digital life and are available to answer questions about smartphones, the internet and digital applications. Interested visitors can test digitalization for themselves and learn new things at various hands-on stations.
A special offer for children and young people is provided by the MINT Mobile "On Tour" with its Makerspace boxes. The program is complemented by a bouncy castle and the many gastronomic offerings along Turmstraße.
The event is aimed at all interested parties - from families and schoolchildren to senior citizens - and invites them to actively discover and try out digitalization on site.
