To mark Daniela Krien's 50th birthday this year, the Literaturkreis Stralsund would like to pay tribute to one of Germany's most important contemporary writers. With "Die Liebe im Ernstfall", the author, who was born in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, has created a novel that tells the stories of five women whose lives intertwine in unexpected ways. With sensitivity, clarity and subtle humor, Daniela Krien paints a picture of modern relationships and the question of how we want to shape our lives.
The Stralsund Literature Circle is an open group of reading enthusiasts in cooperation with the Stralsund City Library who meet monthly to discuss books. The program preview is available at www.literaturkreis-stralsund.de.
