Experience the fascinating spectacle of the deer rut at the Mamerow Enclosure. Register by September 30. Tel.: 0173 600 28 61

When the characteristic bellowing of the stags in the forest slowly dies down, that’s when the real activity begins at the Mamerow red deer enclosure. The reserve is one of the largest of its kind in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and is known for its exceptionally strong stags. The expansive grounds offer the red deer optimal living conditions and plenty of space, so the animals feel particularly at home there.

The red deer’s impressive mating behavior is a fascinating natural spectacle every year. In Mamerow, this spectacle can be observed particularly well: Here, visitors can experience bellowing and fighting stags up close. A nature park ranger will accompany participants and provide interesting insights into the animals’ behavior. The observations take place comfortably from a covered raised observation platform. For the best view, we recommend bringing binoculars and/or a camera.

The meeting point for the wildlife observation tour is on Friday, October 2, at 5:00 p.m. in Mamerow at the bus turnaround loop heading toward Klaber. Due to the limited number of spots, advance registration by phone at 0173 600 2861 is absolutely required.
