The honorary citizen of the Baltic resort of Rerik, Prof. Günther Uecker, passed away last year. He spent a large part of his childhood and youth on the Wustrow peninsula and had a very close relationship with this place throughout his life. In agreement with the Uecker family and the parish, the Baltic resort of Rerik and Kunst. Rerik e.V. have designed a stone in memory of Günter Uecker and erected it in the churchyard. This memorial stone will be unveiled on March 13, 2026, Günther Uecker's 96th birthday.
