Dance action
On February 14, 2026, the "One Billion Rising" campaign will once again take place worldwide. We in Stralsund will also be dancing for the first time to set an example against violence against women and girls.
The name of the campaign is reminiscent of a shocking UN statistic: one in three women worldwide will be a victim of violence in the course of her life. That is over one billion women. With this peaceful dance action, we are calling for an end to these conditions, showing solidarity with those affected and standing up for a life free of violence for women and girls, including here in our region.
