From March 12, 2026, the Kunstsammlung Neubrandenburg presents the artist Dana JES with the cabinet exhibition in the series IM HIER IM JETZT. Under the title "Fluglinien", the artist shows ceramic objects, drawings and spatial installations that have emerged from an artistic examination of the perception of time and the spaces within it.
Dana JES's works are situated between drawing and sculptural thinking and move with and between these media. Drawing as a way of working with and in pictorial space, as a basis for translation into spatiality, leads to an installative practice in which the elements are placed in relation to one another.
For the exhibition at the Kunstsammlung Neubrandenburg, Dana JES revisits the theme of "lines of flight", which has its origins in the artistic project "Apis mellifera". Based on observations of the spatial and temporal levels of the life of the European honeybee, its sounds, body and movements, the artist arrives at graphic and sculptural works that ultimately lead to an installation in space.
