For nearly 2,000 years, he hadn’t had anyone to talk to—but that doesn’t faze the mysterious Monsieur Quaerit; after all, he has his work. Yet when the opportunity arises to speak with Antioco Angelico, he’s over the moon. Unlike his conversation partner, who—right after their first encounter—would prefer never to see him again. But Quaerit isn’t so easily shaken off.

So the two make a life-changing bet.

Can Antioco get rid of Quaerit, or is it a lost cause for the young student?

A comically tragic battle about addiction in today’s society and how we deal with it.
