Petra Göllnitz, the curator of the special exhibition, leads visitors through the galleries, explaining her ideas, the selection of photographs, and the stories behind them.
The curator of the special exhibition “You Think We Were Different,” Petra Göllnitz, grew up in Karl-Marx-Stadt, studied cultural studies, ran an artists’ club in Berlin, worked as a freelancer for the DEFA documentary film studio, and later served as photo editor for the magazine *Das Magazin*. Starting in 1990, she was photo editor at *Stern* in Hamburg; since 2019, she has been working as a freelance curator and producer.
Now, on Thursday, August 27, starting at 11:15 a.m., she will lead a tour of the exhibition she curated. She will explain her ideas, the selection of photos, and the stories behind them. Petra Göllnitz will also be available to answer questions.
