Colors, Shapes, and the Space Between Them: Plein Air Painting and Nature Observation
A landscape consists of more than just trees, paths, or clouds. It is also the light, colors, spaces in between, and moods that define a place. Inspired by the works of Hedwig Holtz-Sommer, participants will explore the surroundings of the Kunsthalle Rostock by drawing and painting outdoors.
Through sketches and color studies, we’ll focus on the diversity of nature and its atmospheric phenomena.
Please bring: colored pencils for sketching, tempera, gouache, or watercolor paints, and brushes. A basic supply of materials (colored pencils, graphite pencils, gouache paints, brushes, jars, and thick paper) will also be provided.
