Musicians from the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin perform string quartets by Schubert, Mozart, and Mendelssohn-Bartholdy
The Tilia Quartet takes its name from its “home base,” the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin. (Linden tree—tilia)
It was here that four musicians from the Staatskapelle Berlin came together in 2005 to form a string quartet:
Eva Römisch, Andreas Jentzsch—violin (alternating), Wolfgang Hinzpeter—viola, Johanna Helm—cello.
The program for this extraordinary evening of classical music features the following works:
Franz Schubert: Quartet Movement in C minor
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: String Quartet in D minor, K. 421
Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy: String Quartet in A minor, Op. 13
