Jazz & Chanson, Theatre & Stage

Conny Bauer / trombone Kalle Kalima / guitar Gerold Genssler / double bass

The jazz trombonist Conny Bauer is considered a pioneer of improvised music in the GDR. With bands such as "Zentralquartett" or "FEZ" as well as his solo programs, he set standards in free jazz.

Kalle Kalima is a musical adventurer. Whether on the stylistic border to rock, paying homage to his Finnish homeland or jazz anarchy with the band Kuu!, the guitarist loves the freedom to explore the breadth and width of improvised music again and again. However, without blowing up the personal atmosphere, a certain creative craziness is never missing. Both as a bandleader and composer, he is one of Europe's most interesting modern musicians.
