Organ - dialog - trumpet to songs by Paul Gerhardt In his texts, the pastor gives praise and thanksgiving, lament and longing, a grandiose nature and joie de vivre a poignant imagery. They are resonant, moving and topical, even though they are already 350 years old.

Each speaks for itself - the songs, the trumpet, the organ.
In the concert on April 30, 2026 in Neu Kaliß, they will enter into a dialog with each other:
- Trumpet and organ from the gallery or from the chancel and the gallery,
- both instruments with the timeless songs of Paul Gerhardt in a wide variety of
arrangements.
We have selected some of Paul Gerhardt's best-known songs, including "Befiehl du deine Wege" and "Geh aus, mein Herz und suche Freud". Old, romantic and contemporary composers have been inspired by the text and melody and have written wonderful music for organ and for trumpet and organ.
The performers, Christian Packmohr, solo trumpeter of the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock until 2023 and honorary professor at the Rostock University of Music and Drama, and KMD Christiane Werbs, retired church musician in Warnemünde, have been making music together for many years. They have recorded 2 CDs together.
