Swing Meets Pop
A blended whiskey is simply a blend of whiskeys from the barrels of various distilleries. Good becomes even better—each whiskey used adds something of its own unique character to the overall composition, and well-known whiskeys can reveal entirely new nuances when combined. This is also the case with MUSIC BLEND. The master blender in charge—in this case, Lutz Krüger—therefore has the challenging task of maintaining a consistent flavor profile for a well-known and well-established Music Blend over the years. Five musicians, all with many years of musical and stage experience, form a musical blend of German swing and pop. All the musicians have known each o
for many years, have played in well-known, legendary East German rock bands, and look back on four decades of artistic and musical careers. Notable examples include Stern Meißen, Western Union, and the group Transit, as well as various renowned big bands and vocal ensembles. Their time at music conservatories served as a melting pot for their future collaboration. The arrangements are designed to make it hard to sit still. Steve Horn provides the perfect atmosphere with his voice and skillful entertainment. A singer and multi-talented musician who also plays various instruments, he always captivates his audience.
The repertoire is extensive: it includes well-known songs by German artists such as Roger Cicero and Manfred Krug, as well as Frank Sinatra and famous swing numbers—all with the band’s signature style.
As diverse as the individual arrangements may be, they all have one thing in common: they appeal to both the heart and the mind.
That’s why the concerts promise the audience fun and entertaining performances.
