MIRO is a musician, singer, songwriter and guitarist.
As a child of the city of Dresden, where Erich Kästner also spent his younger years
, MIRO took on the works of the poet and publicist
Kästner in order to create songs
from poems, some of which had previously gone unnoticed.
The musicians' arrangements are characterized by a playful
lightness with which they were able to translate the 100-year-old poems into today's
times. Kästner's words seem freshly
written and are underlined by MIRO's expressive voice
. They hit the nail on the head with the current zeitgeist.
Quite unnoticed and as if by themselves, MIRO's songs
are inserted here and there between Kästner's settings and are part of the pictorial
poetically and narratively lively musical journey through the
last century.
