The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Music Association (Musikverein Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e.V.) invites you to its traditional Composers' Night at St. Nikolai Cathedral in Greifswald.
Greifswald Composers' Night on November 6, 2026, at 8:00 p.m.
As part of the “Greifswald November” concert series, the traditional Music Night of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Music Association will take place on November 6 at 8:00 p.m. in St. Nikolai Cathedral in Greifswald. The theme of the music night is “Music from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.” Performers include the Greifswald University Symphony Orchestra conducted by UMD Harald Braun, the Schwerin Vocal Ensemble conducted by Cathedral Cantor Christian Domke, the Youth Chamber Choir of the Goethe Gymnasium Schwerin, conducted by Annegret Neubert; the St. Nikolai Women’s Choir Ensemble of Greifswald, conducted by LKMD Konja Voll; and the Axis Duo, featuring Beata Seemann (fortepiano) and Klaus Holsten (flute). Also participating are Jakoba Arekhi-Putensen (soprano) and Frank Dittmer (piano) as artistic director of the Music Night.
The program features works by Friedrich von Flotow, Maria Sophia Westenholz, Christian Domke, Luise Greger, and Josef Rheinberger.
Admission is free. The Music Night is being held in cooperation with the St. Nikolai Cathedral Parish. It is sponsored by the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the Volunteer Foundation of the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, NDR, Sparkasse Vorpommern, and the University and Hanseatic City of Greifswald.
