Bring up to 5 clean items of clothing that are still in good condition and find new favorites among the treasures of others.
Every year around 24 April (the collapse of the Rana Plaza factory building in Bangladesh in 2013), Fashion Revolution Week takes place worldwide.
The aim is to draw attention to the still precarious working and living conditions of the people who make our clothes.
Furthermore, fast fashion fuels climate change. In addition to the violation of human and labor rights in the production of clothing and
shoes and the serious consequences for the local environment, the production, consumption and disposal of fashion items are associated with an enormous carbon footprint and fuel climate change.
Global clothing production continues to increase, while the life cycle of a garment is getting shorter and shorter.
Clothing swaps offer a possible way out of this dilemma. Because only if we use our clothes for as long as possible is it sustainable consumption. Bring up to 5 clean items of clothing that are still in good condition and find new favorites among the treasures of others.
Fair coffee/tea and snacks will be provided.
The event is a cooperation between Kabutze e.V. and Fairtrade Stadt Greifswald
