The bio PIC about the "King of Pop" tells the story of Michael Jackson's rapid career up to 1988. A tribute to the artist that omits the later allegations of abuse.
During his lifetime, Michael Jackson was without doubt one of the world's most famous artists of the 20th century. He set records for both awards and record sales and set new standards with his spectacular dance choreographies and concerts. The film tells Jackson's story chronologically, showing the eight-year-old boy being drilled by his ambitious father in the living room together with his brothers, followed by the breakthrough of the "Jackson Five". This is followed by his first solo successes as a young adult, the arduous process of breaking away from his dominant father, the worldwide fame he achieved through "Thriller" and the momentous fire accident during the filming of a Pepsi commercial. The film concludes with a concert in London in 1988, not long after the release of the album "Bad".
