An impressive relationship drama with Dagmar Manzel, Harald Krassnitzer and August Zirner.
Germany 2026, Director: Welf Reinhart, Length: 106 minutes
DA: Dagmar Manzel, Harald Krassnitzer, August Zirner, Lene Dax and others.
When Kurt suddenly appears in front of Hannes' house, which they once lived in together, and asks her if she would like a glass of water, she is completely perplexed, as she has only seen her ex-husband twice in the past 20 years. She is happily married to Bernd and has absolutely no explanation for Kurt's abrupt behavior. Until she finds a telephone number on a bracelet he is wearing. His daughter then tells her that Kurt has Alzheimer's disease and is in short-term care because she herself is abroad and can't look after him. Hanne and Bernd now try to bring Kurt back to the nursing home and, when that fails, to find new accommodation for him. Eventually he ends up as a permanent guest in their guest room, because Kurt's marriage to Hanna is a thing of the past. He has simply banished the last 30 years from his memory. What begins as a dementia story quickly develops into an extraordinary relationship drama. Hanne, who has found it very difficult to get over her separation from Kurt, keeps finding herself transported back to the past.
