Traditional family festival centered around the church and the rectory
The Protestant Church Congregation of Marlow and the Association for the Preservation of the Church in Marlow e.V. cordially invite you to the 18th Church Square Festival on Sunday, July 5, 2026. Several hundred guests are once again expected to attend this traditional family festival centered around the church and the parsonage. Numerous volunteers are already working hard in the run-up to the event to support this good cause and will provide a colorful program starting at 1:00 p.m. that is sure to delight visitors of all ages.
Our human foosball tournament for youth begins at 1:15 p.m. Clubs or family groups can register in advance at the parsonage. Starting at 2:00 p.m., a children’s scavenger hunt with a variety of game stations invites kids to give them a try. A face-painting booth and a craft activity in the rectory are also ready to welcome a lively crowd. The volunteer fire department will be on display with one of their vehicles, and a bounce house will be especially inviting for our youngest guests. This year’s fairy tale play will be performed in the church at 2:30 p.m. The teachers from the ASB “Grünschnabel” daycare center in Marlow will take on the roles in this performance. The musical and spiritual highlight of the day will be the concert and devotional service at 5:00 p.m. We welcome the “Northern Lights” choir from Ribnitz-Damgarten, conducted by Guido Düwell. Guests from near and far are, of course, warmly invited. Admission is free; donations are appreciated.
It goes without saying that plenty of food and drink will be available at such a colorful festival. Once again, 100% of the day’s proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Church in Marlow. Yet another reason to celebrate the 18th Church Square Festival to the fullest!
