Romantic guitar sounds in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
Between the Lake District and the Baltic Sea coast, amidst vast landscapes and historic settlements, the internationally acclaimed guitarist Stefan Grasse invites you to a special series of concerts in selected churches.
The focus is on romantic and impressionistic music for classical guitar. In addition to his own neo-classical compositions - inspired by the nature, vastness and light of the region - works by Erik Satie and Heitor Villa-Lobos will be performed.
Erik Satie's music captivates with its simple, meditative clarity and unfolds a quiet, timeless intensity. Heitor Villa-Lobos, on the other hand, creates colorful soundscapes - with floating harmonies, fine rhythmic impulses and poetic expressiveness.
"Churches - Lakes - Music" opens up sound spaces full of atmosphere and poetry - intense, touching and entirely dedicated to the magic of the moment.
