Church Cinema - Breakfast at Monsieur Henri's
Constance Piponnier suffers from severe test anxiety. She has already failed her driver’s license exam five times and tends to fail every other test as well. Against the wishes of her father, who runs a vegetable stand in Orléans, she moves to Paris to seek her fortune there.
She has little money and moves in with Monsieur Henri as a subtenant while she studies at the University of Paris. Henri, an eccentric retiree, has been living alone with his turtle in an old Parisian apartment since his wife’s death. He has become bitter and grumpy since the death of his wife, who died 30 years ago after falling out of a window while under the influence of alcohol. His son Paul hopes that a young roommate might keep an eye on him.
The chaotic and perpetually broke Constance doesn’t follow Henri’s rules; she secretly plays the piano (a passion she had given up because of her father), even though Henri had forbidden her to do so, and she occasionally wears his slippers. When she can no longer pay her rent, Henri offers her a deal: she is to drive a wedge between Paul and his wife Valerie, and in return, she may stay in the apartment. -Wikipedia-
