The Christmas puppet show “Auguste, the Christmas Goose” tells a heartwarming story of friendship and compassion as Peterle tries to save his beloved goose from becoming the holiday roast. Afterward, Lars Engelbrecht invites everyone—young and old—to join in singing Christmas carols.
Puppet Show and Christmas Caroling
The Christmas Goose Auguste
Opera singer Luitpold Löwenhaupt buys a Christmas goose as early as November, just to be on the safe side. But where should the goose stay until Christmas? A goose... uh, it’s simple, says Peterle—in the kids’ room, of course... and he certainly can’t let Auguste the goose end up as a holiday roast. The almost classic Christmas story by F. Wolf—exciting yet contemplative. (Running time approx. 50 min.)
A story about friendship and the difficulty of putting oneself in others’ shoes, for ages 3 and up
Followed by: an open sing-along of Christmas carols for young and old with “Angel Finder” Lars Engelbrecht from Greifswald
