Ferdinand the bull lives somewhere in Spain. Unlike the other bulls, nothing can persuade him to fight, but he prefers to lie under his favorite tree among the flowers. By an unfortunate coincidence, however, he ends up in the bullfighting arena, where his peacefulness is put to the test. His friends help him to escape from this situation. The other bulls also realize that their lives can consist of other things than fighting.
