Wilhelm Peterson-Berger, Gustaf Hägg, Felix Körling: Swedish piano music
Ingmar Bergman was honored as "Best Film Director of All Time" at the Cannes International Film Festival in 1997. He had previously won the Oscar several times during his long career.
In the summer of 1990, he wrote his novel "Sunday Children" about the summer of 1926 and his parents' conflict-ridden relationship from his own perspective as an eight-year-old boy. Daniel Bergman, the son of Ingmar Bergman and Käbi Laretei, made the book into a film shortly afterwards.
The late romantic piano music from Sweden revives the atmosphere of a summer landscape, churchgoing and a bourgeois summer house.
