Gala for the 200th birthday of operetta king Johann Strauss (son)
He has just won the German Audiobook Award for his format Opera re:told: The Marriage of Figaro: Frederic Böhle. In Rostock, he introduced himself to audiences as Papagino in Zauberflöte reloaded and as Adelaide in Der Vogelhändler. The actor and narrator of numerous audio books has invented a new format based on his passion for musical theater: grand opera, or operetta, with orchestra - and witty moderation. Together with the singers of the music theater ensemble, he creates a program with works from the golden Viennese era - in honor of Johann Strauss Junior, who would have been 200 years old this autumn. Rare gems from the repertoire can be heard - and of course the hits from Die Fledermaus and Eine Nacht in Venedig. An evening guaranteed to put you in a good mood and get you humming along!
